I, however, have remained on her board along with Larry Mehlman, a former 50-year resident of Palm Beach. Bradley’s not-for-profit organization, until the Town of Palm Beach took over running the program. The Masons, along with many other residents, including myself, joined the board of directors of Palm Beach Cat Rescue & Humane Society, Ms. Bradley, the feral-cat problems were humanely resolved on our properties. David Leavitt, the present president of Palm Beach Island Cats who lives in the North End, also was the recipient of Ms.

Bradley, in fact, started her mission of mercy). I would like to point out that Catherine Bradley not only responded to Allen and Zelda Mason on Via Manana decades ago, she also responded to my mother and stepfather, Mildred and Knut Onsager, who lived nearby on North Lake Way (along with Edward “Ned” McLean and Frances Holland on Dolphin Road where Ms. Over the years, she had hundreds of cats spayed and neutered along with maintaining them on a daily basis. With reference to the recent article by Paulette Cooper Noble regarding Allen and Zelda Mason and the feral-cat program in the Town of Palm Beach, I think we need to be reminded that Catherine Bradley introduced the program some 30 years ago despite tremendous opposition.
